tubescreamer clone pics...

These are some glam shots of my new tubescreamer TS808 clones, serial number 2 - this one has switches to independently introduce a second series diode to the positive and negative parts of the signal for asymmetrical clipping and other interesting tonal changes. You might notice there is no stomp switch, one of the other main features of the pedal is true (hardwire) bypass that is implemented by an externally controlled relay, the 'EN' jack on the back is for a standard, normally open switch to ground, when the switch is closed the effect goes into bypass. For one pedal this is probably more of a hassle but when you start to combine several they can all be switched together, in banks of 2 or 3 or controlled by an external switching/patching box that I will be developing shortly. Another possibility is to have a switch inside a guitar, either a toggle switch or a pullpot that can switch individual effects or chains of effects on and off. Throughout high quality components are used, gold sockets, film capacitors, carbon composition resistors, silver teflon wiring in a military/aerospace style wiring harnesses.

controls L>R: drive, tone, volume, the bottom switches are up for 2 diodes (DD) and down for one diode (D)

jacks L>R: 9v DC in (boss power standard), enable, out, in
