the heater....

i've been online in one way or another since 1989 but this is my first attempt to create a content source based on audio electronics: tube and *gasp* solid state. part of it is going to be design philosophy and circuit theory, part of it is going to be implementation, case studies, my projects, cool old gear etc. the mind and the body of audio electronics, the hardware and software. lately i've been checking out some of the vintage computer museums and sites around the web and that was the last thing to inspire me to make an audio blog based on the same ethos, preserving the old ways and introducing new thoughts and designs. my main thing now is primarily synthesizer circuits and low powered class A solid state amps, but i started working with audio electronics on tube guitar amps, pro audio and recording gear - mic preamps, mixers and tube hifi amps, sprinkled throughout with more mundane things like test equipment and power supplies. you have *got* to love power supplies if you are into audio. <3 so with that, the blog is now warmed up, time to switch on the high voltage.....
